Basically my car only starts when you enter the key, turn it and then press the mobilaser button and the red light flashes and you turn the key again and the car then starts. The button is also to lock and unlock the car.
The button has been working for 16years and now it has started to play up, there is a garage that i am going to take to, but i have heard they charge £50 an hour which i dont mind if they only need to change the battery in the mobilaser.
Could anyone give any help, or suggest?
Thank you.

in the fob you mean?
take it apart, comes in two halfs then take the battery to Sainsbury and find the same and replace it.
my local Sainsbury has over 100 different types so should imaging they're all the same.
-
yeaaa the fob, i got told that you only had 30seconds to change it and then it will lose it memory?
is that right?
-
Best be quick then  who told you that? the garage by any chance?
-
No lol, a friend. Is that wrong then?
-
The thing is, their night be a chance that it is not the battery in the fob, it might be the actually button?
-
I had the same problem not so long ago, only one fob and when that failed that was that ,now I have to use the key thing in the dash.
-
Battery thing is not true!
If its the button get a fob from eBay then swap the button over.
-
He probably means the button that will be soldered to the pcb inside the case.
-
So a new fob would be better than getting the battery changed in the fob?
-
There are companies that can replace your fob such as this ,but im not sure if it has to be working for them to reprogramme a new one

I would try a new battery first.
-
I think I might try the battery and then if that doesn't work then ill try a new fob.
Thank you.
-
I would try swap the button after the battery.
-
Just put a new battery in the fob, and it seems to be working a lot better now then the old battery.
Thanks a lot for your help :)

what i did in this situation is waited to get stuck at side of the road then called the RAC out they bypassed the immobiliser for the grand charge of £0 might be worth a try when it plays up bad
