Title: Climatronic Problem?
Post by: johnboy2 on 17 January 2013, 14:48
HI, I have recently bought a MK4 1.8 T GTI 20v 83k on clock

Got in it today when started a loud noise is coming from the Glove Box area?
Sounds like a loud clicking relay

I have been told its aproblem with the Climatronic (Climate Control) if I put it on re circulate it stops,
only problem then is the car steams up!!
I have been told the complete Dash has to be removed to fix this!!!!!

Has anyone else heard of this, or had this problem? is there an easy way round this?

Thanks Guys

John (Swindon)

Possible recirculation flap motor is failing. There is a guide on how to do it on ukmivs and glove box has to come out and it's meant to be a right ball ache to do...
