sounds like a bad earth to me, ud need to take it to an auto spark
-
do they go off again when you unlock the car?
-
Aint that the safety thing they do when you park up and lock it with the indicator on?
-
Its when i lock the car that the driver side head light and rear light comes on ive waited to see if it goes of by its sekf but it dosnt, its started doing the same when i unlock the car, the lights flash twice on unlocking and locking but the driver side stays on
-
Ive checked the indicator before getting out the car, its not that mate
-
do you get any probelems with the indicators sticking on when using the indicators or hazards?
-
If not, its probably gonna be your convenience control module.
-
Nope no orobs with indicators sticking
-
Convience control module, wheres that located is it an easy fix? Thanks for your help

its below the stearing wheel, by the relay panel. you will have to get your keys re-coded after swapping it. It doesnt effect the immob, so you'll still be able to drive. but it will knock out your central locking till you get them coded

Nice one mate, i take it ill have to order this part from VW and get it recoded by them  this could end up being pricey
-
I have a spare depending on the part number
-
they're in the region of £100 from the stealers, I'd have a look at yours and make a note of the part number (theres 3 or four different ones depending on no. of doors, options etc) then see if you can get one from ebay, then get your keys re-coded, will probably save you about 80-100 quid!

anyone know how to tell if your ccm is coded to your keys? or anyone able to do it? think thats why my central locking isnt working, either ccm has gone or its been replaced and not coded, think the latter cause everything else on the car works fine
sorry for thread hijacking :D
-
Brilliant, is the part number on the unit or is there a way of checking without stripping the sterring colum
-
Thanks for the help guys this forum is awsome

Its not the steering column you need to strip, its down in the footwell above the pedals.
