Post by: N-Wales_vr6 on 23 July 2005, 18:57
Got a Mk2 1600 Driver thats been melting the radiator cooling fan fuse cos its not been coming on when it should. Changed fan cos it had seized checked thermostat but thats okay and changed fan switch at base of rad .Gauge in dash now stopped working and fan still doesnt come on so need to change engine temperature sensor, been told there are 3!!!
My question oh haynes owning friends is which one and where is it? Any pics would be grateful!!

Its the black one with the brown and red/yellow wires going to it, located in the bottom of the plastic flange on the front of the block :)

is this sensor (black with red/yellow or brown wires) the one for the dash? Mine is conked out and that flashing red light is very distracting at night!
