I really like the colour and wheel combo in that picture, i personally love my mk6 in steel grey as it's a happy medium between hiding the dirt and looking great when all polished, i know it's not everyones cup of tea but i think i'll probably get a mk7 in grey too.
Red. You can't beat a shiny red car as it's far more forgiving than black.
Put my black GTI into a body shop to fix the chips before trading in for the mark 7. The boss told me white or silver was the best colour to get as they are easy to match up. I opted for white.

Silver easy to match? The amount of badly repainted silver cars I see around. They stand out a mile.
Congrats on the order BTW! you're among the first to take the leap!
I had a go in a GT DSG 150 at the weekend and it's a great combination, smooth with plenty of pull and so quiet for a diesel!
Nice work, when will it be here
you will enjoy driving the mk1 sooooooooooooooo much more after getting out of a mk5.75
Wow .. great spec and really love that colour .. the Mk 7 looks good in it
Congrats on your order ... now just the wait

He has.
Cracking choice Shaun! That colour is lovely,
I still have the Bora(ing) for my 90 mile a day commute but want a toy to go in the garage y some point. May wait till this time next year as an expensive year ahead with the wedding/honeymoon/first house purchase

Not to dissimilar to my mk3 then - storm grey.
Red is very nice but once it starts picking up stone chips the white primmer shows through really easy. I would go for white or silver great spec you have there lovely motor when it comes. you cant beat a brand new car
Awesome!

Looks stunning in that colour Shaun, love the first pics...
Glad your enjoying it fella...
And yeah if you don't mind cud you put some more lighter interior pics...
looks good, the inside is mental.
Want mine!
Lovely colour, looks great. Bet you'll be making lots of (un)necessary journeys
It is nice BUT that pic with it next to the blue Mk6 just says to me how similar they are from the front and the back. We VW geeks can tell the difference but your average bod on the street wouldn't have a clue.
Still, I've bought Car magazine on Thursday as they have the first full test drive of the GTi - haven't read it yet so it'll be interesting to see what the verdict is.
I really like that colour on the SE/GT  glad you like the drive mate, is it easy to put faith in the ACC? And does it still have the lighting onto the centre console from near the rear view mirror?
The inside looks great. What specs did you go for again?
Tuesday will be one week of driving this car, watch this space for a slightly more in depth review. Although I am loving driving this car I have a couple of bones to pick with it. :lipsrsealed:

You can't do that what are the niggles?
Looks great but tbh I prefer the look of the 6's DSG...
But I do much prefer your rear cup holders to the 6's....
They have removable parts that allow you to adjust their size which I thought was pretty smart. The fronts have done away with the bottle opener but they do have 4 spring loaded arms per holder to make all sizes of cups/bottles fit snug without rattling.

Why the angry faces?
