can somebody tell me as i thought it was only electronicly opereated throttles.
-
I don't think so ,ive removed mine to clean it before and all I did was after refitting turn the ignition on and leave for around three mins then start it,was fine.
-
Yes definitely, either Vag Com or disconnect the battery for a while.
-
well im going to pick my car up from a well respected vag specialist tomorrow as ive just had my inlet manifold changed and they have charge me £80 + VAT for changing my inlet manifold and adapting my throttle body. i told them the AGU throttle body dosnt need adaping as its cable operated not electric but the mechanic says it does.
-
I am with you I thought no need to do anything on a AGU
-
I've had to do it before. Takes about 2 mins though. I would have changed it for less lol
-
No u dont. Just take one drive after 20-30 miles it will settle itself. Did throttle body clean on my previous AGU twice same way.
-
With AGU the stock TB has a potentiometer and adjustment mechanism built in, typically when you put key in on position it will do an alignment and angle check. You can use vag com too, unless its causing a problem after a clean I wouldn't worry about it.
-
Its certainly possible to align through VCDS.....but if it has solely been removed and re-installed you will be fine.
-
Decided to do this today and mine was fine no adjusting required
