Hey! No I don't wanna know if cheap coilovers are any good lol. I've been looking into gettin a set of springs and shocks to set up my 16v right. So can you lot recommend me a good spring shock setup that will improve the handling a lot without braking my back or bank? Also would like a 40/40 or 60/40 drop.
And yes I know how to search
Cheers

Get a good quality set of shocks, Boge or Sachs then a set of springs, will make a world of difference I would also replace all the top mounts at the same time.

Cheers, Wayne. What springs would you recommend? I'd change the top mounts

eibach or kw springs for best comfort but you'll only get 40/40mm max lowering, I agree with the boge/sachs shocks. you can use lowering spring caps for 10mm front lowering (I'm sure venom do them)

I have some brand new FK lowering spring caps if you want them, for the later, smaller pigtail springs.

On my last car, a leon cupra r i fitted a weitec kit and would definitely have them again, perfectly smooth on the motorway, minor roll in the twisties and comfortable for a lowered car round town on bumpy roads. On the car 3-4 years and now with the new owner and never gave me an issue

Yep Weitec Hi-Con GT is what I have fitted- no complaints from me, was recommended them from the local rally specialist. Only major modification I have ever done to any of my cars.

I have Weitec Ultra GT shortened struts with Eibach sportline springs and the ride and handling is a fairly balanced compromise.
