Title: De-cat
Post by: RichardBaronGolf on 13 January 2013, 12:48
Hi there,

I recently fitted a 4-2-1 manifold to my golf mk3 16v, Where the manifold joins the cat it is blowing quite badly despite me using a new gasket which came with the manifold set for the cat.

Anyways I am now also buying a de-cat pipe, problem is when I fit this I don't want this to be blowing either. I haven't bothered trying to right the blow as I'm hopefully going to have a de-cat pipe soon.

Question is, Is there a specific type of gasket I need, The one that came with the manifold seemed to be the correct fit but couldn't of been if its still blowing.

Anyone any ideas on what gasket I need, Or where I could get it from?

Thanks in advance?

I am guessing it should be a metal type gasket.
