Hi all, suppose I should order both then cancel the one that's worst but what are your thoughts?
Love Doc
-
I had both for a while, there pritty much the same, but I'd say love film had newer films on.
-
Had Netflix a while, recently been thinking of trying Lovefilm but not sure if there is much difference
-
i found netflix slightly better than love film although neither have very recent films so use blinkbox and pay per rent :undecided:
-
Does love film have tv series too such as breaking bad etc?
-
Ice films
-
i prefer netflix..seem to have more tv/box sets..plus a lot of their films are now in "superHD"
-
both but want to cancel.
Register on VeeHD - buffer the movies or download them to the PS3 and watch them that way.
-
I have both on my Xbox and for me Lovefilm wins hands down.
There is now over 10,000 films and TV series on Lovefilm while on Netflix there is no where near that number.
To be honest though, I always just download the latest films in bluray to watch on my TV as both Lovefilm and Netflix are slow in getting the newer films.
SkyNow is not to bad but after your £8 a month introductory offer it then goes up to £15 a month
-
I preferred Netflix interface to Lovefilms, I stopped using lovefilm after a few days because of the sh!tty interface in a Web browser. Using NowTV now and it has better/newer content though only films no tv series and they also pad out the content with trailers. Try the free trials of each and see which you prefer.
-
i looked into both! but i need a XBOX live connection gold membership, which put me off, so ill hold out till i get a new TV :lipsrsealed:
-
I am a lovefilm member and have been for a maybe a year now, no issues with them what so ever. Easily packaged etc and quite reasonable rates if you get through a lot of films. I am on the £9.99 for unlimited DVD/Blu ray a month, I get through 2 disks a week, approx £1 a rental for me.
You can sometimes pick up 6 months of subscription for a cut price through amazon lightening deals everything now and. I also cancelled the other month, just so they offered me a cheaper price for the next 3 months
-
Lovefim has more movies, Netflix has more TV series'.
-
I've yet to try out the American NetFlix it has a load of better stuff, apparently (Google NetFlix american DNS  there are free and paid for DNS servers)

tried that. Even changed the PS3 settings to a USA server...not worth it tbh
-
Ive been with Lovefilm for about 3yrs now, no complaints here.
-
I picked up a 6 month love film subscription for ~ £15 (amazon lightning deal) dvd / blu-ray selection is good, on demand selection is pretty poor for films, good for TV though.
Worst point is no streaming app for andoird.
-
both not that great really... trialling both and will probably can both when the trial period is finished :undecided:

My brother has his AppleTV set up with a US DNS server so he can get the US Netflix. The catalogue available on the US netflix is much bigger, but you don't get as much British stuff and with somethings like nature documentaries, you'll get the one with an American voice over instead of David Attenborough.

Easy enough to flip the DNS settings

But then you'd need a Netflix account for each, one for the US subscription and one for the UK. You'd be paying double.

You can just change the regions for a small montly fee, it allows you to choose loads of different ones
