Title: backbox delete on ABF
Post by: MereKat on 11 January 2013, 12:45
My backbox  (from a vr6, doesn't fit properly anyway!) is just about shot on my car, just confirming that replacing it with some exhaust tubing could be a bad idea...

Looking for a cheap to free option as it needs what little money we have spending elsewhere

Don't want it silly loud but have a friend who can bend the pipe and make/weld brackets etc...I've driven it with no center and back boxes and it was pretty horrible, but don't know how much 'silencing' the centre alone would do...

If you have cat and say jetex centre pipe with two silencers, just have a straight pipe instead of backbox won't make it loud.

If you have standard mid box then it can be quite or very loud depending on its condition.
