Title: Electric Window - Sluggish & Stops.
Post by: Dan n Nic on 11 January 2013, 12:13
As above, the passenger side front window starts to move normally when winding back up, but then slows right down to the point of stopping and you have to physically help it the rest of the way up (hand on window pushing/lifting whilst pressing the button).

Is the motor on it's way out? or any other suggestions please?

Cheers
Dan

Regulator is on its way to snapping. Mine went the other day. It gets chewed up in the motor and snaps the wiring. I had a full door service. Locks and handle greased up etc for £145. New regulator too obviously ha ha. VW quoted me £165 for just the regulator. Hope this helps you?

Cheers for that. Not the same as the clip  on it's way to snapping then? As this is completely different to when that happened on the drivers side of mine.

No this is completely different to when my drivers side clip snapped. the window starts to go up fine, then slows to a stop, then motor winds it back down a couple of inches and stops completely then wont move up at all but will go down when the button is pressed.
