I have a little problem with my mk3 16v (ABF) I was wondering if anyone could help with.
When cold it often stutters when the oil temp is reading (on the MFA) 70-74 degrees and then it goes away again.
It has not happened below that temp and not once up to full temp.
I have found the following code with VAG-COM:
00513 - Engine Speed Sensor (G28)
27-00 - Implausible Signal
But I wondering if this could be a red herring due to the limited temp range the issue happens over and was wondering if it could be with a temp sensor.
Your thoughts please?

It will be the speed sensor, otherwise known as the crank sensor. I just replaced mine, the wiring is prone to breaking where it runs so close to the engine. About £60 for a decent part and easy to fit if you have some axle stands and a jack. You have to remove the starter motor and front engine mount to gain access.

Definitely the crank sensor. I replaced mine in a couple of hours with plenty of tea breaks
This is the part I bought, on eurocarparts.
