I needed a new Vancouver as one of mine had been badly repaired before I bought the car. The dealers/TPS were quoting somewhere around £4-500 iirc. A freindly salesman stepped in with the offer of staff discount, which softened the blow.

Before you buy one tho', try Lepsons to see if they can refurbish it. They really are the best there is.

Powdertec at the Quay claim to do diamond cut refurbs but I've no experience of them apart from fixing my daughters badly dented alloy.

I bought a brand new Vancouver alloy from the Verve Rutherglen about a week after getting my car from the factory. Similar story, a dog ran out in front of me and I had to mount one of those traffic islands to avoid it!!  The wheel was £400 but they knocked it down to £340 when I told them I bought the car from them so you could try the dealer you got the car from if in indeed you got it from a dealer?!

Sending it ain't a problem I did the same, the wheel is already damaged so sending it won't be a problem it's getting it back to you in A one I WAS concerned about but Lepsons packaged it very well so it's no problem at all really this  (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=240445.20)thread explains all...
