Hi all,
As above i have an agu and cant seem to read the ecu with scanners.
Iv'e looked online and used the search feature and found out that the
agu has no possative connection on the obd port ....for some stuped reason ...?
Now i need to get the car scanned ...so where is the best place to get it scanned
or is there a way of doing something with the obd port ...?
-
check obd2 pinout and locate the 12v pin is... also gnd... then connect them up to the socket. all you need is a contact.

My cousin has one and it couldnt link to the car ...The only one that did was a snap on self powered jobbie that cost about £2000 and im not buying one of them....lol. But my mate has sold it now so i cant use it any more ....
-
it links up as soon as you plug it in, with ignition off plug it in, the unit will light up and turn your key to the second notch.....job done search for faults or you can get a vagcom cable if you have a laptop.
-
No it doesnt work ive tryed a few scanners and they dont link up to the car ....
Also while checking fuses i noticed there wasnt one in location 31 on the side of the dash ...i dont know if its related ...?

If your car for whatever reason does not have 12V connection to OBD socket then look where on the OBD2 socket it should go.... and wire it up straight to the adapter.

ERRRR i didnt say VW i said a VW specialist. why not try kwik fit they have a crappy snap on code reader it looks like the only way if your not prepared to take the dash apart and look for the obd 2 port live wire with a volt tester.
