Title: Puncture repair
Post by: Snooze on 09 January 2013, 18:29
Been driving for 9 years and never had a puncture up until September 2012.  Got to work and realised I had another one  screw in tyre.  Swiftly put the spare on at lunch.  I hadn't driven on the tyre whilst deflated so was hopeful it could be repaired.  Took my car to Tyre Barn on Bone Lane in Newbury after work for them to have a look at it.  10 mins later they told me the tyre was repaired  well chuffed.  And the bill?  £12.00!!!!  What an absolute bargain.

Had a little chat with the guy and I said I was planning on getting some Goodyear Asymmetric 2's from them in a few months (once ive saved up!) and he said those were the best tyres he could recommend for the money.  £126 per corner which I thought was good.

Thanks to Jimmymature for the recommendation!  I can also recommend Tyre Barn, Bone Lane, Newbury.  Good service, very quick and affordable prices.  Also not a mark left on my delicate Monza shadows!

Great stuff! Makes a nice change to read a tyre related story that doesn't end in disaster! Sounds like a decent reasonable place too.

Always a scare when you have new tyres put on Monza shadows, i dread it.
