i know its a poor relation but since it is closely related i wondered if anyone has had this fault:

Basically the dials / clocks / instrument cluster plays up.

First it was just the fuel guage keep failing, but now it beeps to say its over heating when its not, the volt guage drops to 0 whilst driving, the oil temp seems to fail as well. ( yes its the 6 Dial Dash )

they all tend to fail at the same time which leads me to believe its the instrument cluster, now ive heard rumours that its the solder on the plug of the cluster, i dont overly trust my self just to dive in there.

So anyone got any experience of this, or a DIY guide?

best bet is to buy a second hand instrument cluster and get them coded in see if the problems still there.
