Panasonic 42" LCD = the biggest we could live with in our house!
Today the very nice man came and fitted a new dish and connected up the Sky box.
All good.
But the sound?
Hmmmmm.......
Sky man put my phono leads in from the HiFi, put that on and doesnt sound as good as my old TV!
Now also my Hifi could do with a sub, so....
How about this package?

Run the sub off my HiFi (Yamaha amp) and the soundbar off the TV.
Good idea?

F**king brilliant for the money. Google it for full details, but I have one and the sound is great for a 2.1 system, and I am yet to hear decent bass from a soundbar.

Not on E38 so dont come up for me!
I definitely dont want a surround system, cant stand noise from behind.
-
It's an Onkyo HD22TX or summat. It's not surround, just 2 speakers and a sub.

For that kind of money you could buy a whole home cinema system
I got his one a month or so ago & very impressed with the sound for the tv & my music, so much so i packed away my old amp & speakers

The beauty of the Yamaha sub is that it fits in the TV stand. That will primarily be used with the HiFi not the TV.
Thanks Lewy, I'll have a close look at that system

The sub will have to be connected to the soundbar, you can't run them separately.
The speakers in that soundbar are so small that they'll give such rubbish sound without the sub.
They way these things are designed, they will only run when connected together, so you can't run one for the TV and one for the hi-fi.
Besides, if your hi-fi is any good, it shouldn't need an additional sub (beyond any it might have already).
-
Hmmmmm....
Well actually I do need a sub for the Hifi, I was kinda killing two birds etc.
-
Well I went for this one in the end.
