I've finally parted with my xj8 which was my weekend guzzler doing 18-20 mpg and really fancy a vr6 as just doesn't do it for me .
So before I take the plunge what's the vr like on fuel ?
I don't expect anything great but it won't drink like that v8 !

It won't be far off your XJ8

It was an impulse buy ... Went to an auction and bagged it for £895 , was classy and I work for a jag specialist so fixed it up nice but gee slow without the charger !
If I'm honest the consumption won't put me off the vr I've been after one for so long now and circumstances are right at the moment ,
Parkers said 30mpg , that's optimistic !

30mpg on long motorway runs, around town low 20s.

Day to day miles... 80 miles to £20
Posible to see more, easy to see less

I've done £20 in 30mins before

30mpg give or take is great for a v6!
Same mpg as my E36 318ti sport 1.9l 16v. long term I'm looking to upgrade that to an M3 evo or E36 Alpina & am currently looking for a 5dr Mk3 GTI 16v as an economical practical daily but if you can get 30 or more from a VR then I might go for one instead

My vr had fuel fumes pumping out the exhaust... constant smell. not the most economical golf
