Just bought a Clio 182 off my mate but I need to swap the clocks as the rev needle is limp and hangs 1krpm too low. But as the mileage is digital how would you change it, is this just a garage job and cheap?
-
I think it is stored on the ecu?
-
How do you change it on a mk3 golf?
-
Drive backwards for a while.. or drive forwards more?
-
There are specialists that can input correct milage on new clocks. Mk3 can be done externally (ie; on the clock itself whilst removed), but I would have thought newer cars would require to be done using diagnostic ports I would think.

yep digital mileage correction is easier than analogue its not illegal to alter the mileage of a car as long as you dont try to sell it on as that mileage being genuine but in the case of fitting new clocks and altering the mileage to suit theres nothing wrong with that

That's great then! Yeah thought ice seen it be done on tv before, saying how easily they can be clocked! Pretty good motor too the 182 I'm very impressed!
