Below is a pic of my 2001 1.8 T and to me the ride height doesn't look right. It looks low at the front and high at the back? Looking at pictures of other 1.8 T's they seem to have a more even arch gap.

Have you just bought this? Maybe shocks are shot? I don't know but mine seems more level?
-
I've had it a couple of months, it passed an MOT just after I bought it.
-
Looks lowered at the front :undecided: check under arch see what springs etc in there you can tell if aftermarket stuff and compare with the rear springs
-
I'll have a look at the weekend. I did notice the rear springs didn't look that old, I wondered if non GTI springs had been fitted?

could be as the gti is 10mm(?) lower than non gtis
-
it should look slightly lower at the front - after all the engine and gearbox are there
-
I know it should be slightly lower at the front, but I bet my arch gap is 50mm greater at the back than what I've got at the front.

Not really, the springs will be designed so the car sits level.
-
I would say you have non GTI rear springs fitted, does not look right at the moment.
