I need a new clutch guys and been looking on eBay and found these guys comes with a 4 year warranty and just wondered if anyone has used them before has a single mass flywheel wheel and everything inc and very temped to get one any help would be great guys
-
thats a manufactures warranty, better off getting your local vad specialist to fit one for the extra security
-
Ask them if they even have it in stock! I orderd kit and 2 weeks later they tel me they ned order from supplier stil
-
So its safe to say stay away from them then guys where's a good place to get the full kit from then inc flywheel at a decent price as I live in the middle of nowhere and need it delivered I saw one on awesome for £330 is that about the best
-
i got qouted fully fitted by a vag specialist with 12 months fitting warranty plus manufacturers 4 years warranty

Awesome one is a SMF conversion by ECS with a SACHS vr6 clutch, also weighed down to 14lb. Stock flywhell is DMF and 20-21lb. They do the same kit in 21lb if you want a heavier flywheel.
I have it fitted on mine and its a good bit of kit, plus replacing the clutch on SMF should you wear it out again is a hell lot cheaper. Plus the vr6 clutch is rated around 260lb/bhp.
Common complaint with lightened flywheel is the juddery driving. But having one on I say its not juddery at all and it is still fine for daily driving, no different than stock DMF except a lighter clutch pedal with SMF.

U fitting it yourself?
-
No mate got friends in the trade so they will fit it I can do most things but will not touch a clutch I'm really swaying now to the awesome one as seems a good bit of kit
-
demon tweeks sell for £260 i think, could be wrong
-
there was a post a long time ago that had a list of bits you needed and where to get them from, I just did this and I am sure it was well under £250
Most expensive was the VR6 clutch and then the surcharge from VM for the G60 flywheel (couldnt be bothered going to get one from a scrappy)

There was an old post about g60, abf, stock DMF and ECS flywheels with vwprime. Some intresting finds as the abf and g60 wernt as light as people initially thought. ECS one turned out the lightest unless you send the other two flywheels for a further trim. ECS kit turned out £333 for me from awesome (worked out slightly cheaper by a few quid to get in UK than US directly from ECS+tax), but the quality is there and so where all the correct bolts, alignment tool and bearing.
