Title: Replacement Clutch
Post by: sdall30 on 02 January 2013, 16:57
I'm putting a performance CAM in my MK3 8v GTI and will be replacing the clutch with an up rated version at the same time. I've settled on a "performance torque" product available from Larkspeed.
Problem is they list 2 stage ! versions for my model

this one http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?p=DT238FR6408&a=i (http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?p=DT238FR6408&a=i)

and this one http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?p=DT224FR6407&a=i (http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?p=DT224FR6407&a=i)

the only difference I can see is where it says in the description that one Fits Models with Manufacturing Code up to 306243 and the other Fits Models with Manufacturing Code 306244 .. what is the manufacturing code and how do I find out which one applies to my car so that I buy the correct clutch ?

Thanks for the help in advance
Stuart

Why do you want a performance clutch, is it a track car?

If he wants an uprated clutch in his car then let him.

Why do people on here give opinions the OP does not want?
