I had my car at 43.6 MPG today, is that good or bad?. Took a pic too, will post up later
-
Had 45MPG last night after a very granny-like drive.
And having done a few brim to brim MPG calculations in the past, the MPG counter has always been spot on.
Edit: That's in my valver BTW.

53.7 after driving all the way to dewsbury like a granny
-
Really? I've never seen that much mpg in any of my Golfs... ever!
-
Only if i took a picture. But i did take me upto an hour more. Was driving realy slow and wasnt giving it on the hills
-
I could usually get around 45mpg under normal driving conditions, seen over 50mpg on the motorway. My VR6 struggles to get above 30mpg.
-
Didn't buy my gti and vr6 to get good mpg. 8v is normally 25 and vr6 is about 17.
If I wanted over 40mpg I would buy something 1.0litre and French :lipsrsealed:
-
Round town I get about 15/20 mpg on the open road I get about 40 if I am lucky and drive like a granny.
-
Just worked out my 115cc kart does 21mpg

You must kick the arse out the both of them lol.....

on a reasonable run - 36mpg reported typical, highest about 42mpg reported, and short runs ~30mpg, unless its particularly cold when ~26mpg reported!
-
Right as promised here's a piccy

I drove from dewsbury to wigan. I was in first lane all the way doing 60MPH. When i got there it was averging at 39.8, so kept driving like a slug through wigan, and it went up to 40.2 on local roads.
So i joined motorway heading back towards home and i got it upto 42.8 at 60MPH. Then i took it upto 70MPH and kept it there for about 10 Mins, and it came down averging 40.1. so reduced the speed down to 60MPH and i started rising again which gave me 43.6.

Lol....I had never been in trouble with the law in over ten years prior to getting my vr6, got hit with an asbo within weeks for gunning it off a roundabout heading onto the motorway.

143 miles on 25 pound only a 1.4 tho.

Can do that in a vr!
I got 34mpg going to gti inters last year and it was fast 90mph cruising (and some spirited driving through macclesfield on way home). Also a few laps round the inters airbase until we got told to stop
Mate in his saab 2.0t aero used more fuel :lipsrsealed:

Ive had it at 41 at its best. Average short drives mid 20's. Beats the crap out of my old vtec accord
-
38 ish motorway at 70 and about 20 on way to work (only 2 miles) so doesn't get warm
-
My average if I drive at like 65mph along a motorway (my journey to and from work)

Got stuck behind a bus today and thought I would see what it can do. Got 42 and that's with a cam so was happy, but next time I will overtake the bus. The car didn't like going that slow!

Sprakie there's no way that 59.1mpg is accurate, that's TDI territory.
