Ok, so I'm picking up the car on Thursday, (Mk6 Gti). Can you guys on here give me an idea of what products I'll need to make sure I keep her in good order bodwork wise? Been on the Waxamomo site & like the look & value of their products & would like to support them.
Recommendations for the following:

wax
sealant
interior products
microfibre cloths
etc.
Cheers, Nige

Do you have an idea about what you want to spend.

The best advice i can give you is pm Chris from Waxamomo and he will most likely sort everything out for you.

As others have said Waxamomo will sort you out.

If budget permits, highly recommend getting a snow foam lance (if you already have a pressure washer) and some meguiers hyper wash.  IMO snow foam makes a big difference and takes some of the effort out of cleaning, especially given how dirty car gets in winter.

Most of the replies will be different because people like different stuff. So below is a list of what I'm into at the min BUT I almost always buy a different product every time just to try them.

shampoo - Poorboys SSS up there with the best ive tried. Around  £16.50
mitts  -  Dodo Juice Tribble Mitt. Around  £10
drying towel  -  Wunder drying towel 2 for around £15
polish  -  Dodo Juice Lime Prime. Around £13
GLAZE  -  Poorboys World white diamond or black hole. Around £12.50
wax  -  Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid. Around £29
sealant  -  Not  really needed if you wax. A sealants is a synthetic wax.
interior products  -  Poorboys World Natural Look. Around £10.50
microfibre cloths  -  Kent Car Care pack of 6 from Asda.

I added in Glaze to the list as I love BH tho remember it is only a glaze so will need to be waxed over or the first rain shower will wash it off. Also whats been said before get a good snow foam and lance, some good applicator pads and a detiling spray for after washes.

Hi,

Thanks for saying you would like to support us, it is very much appreciated

As others have said, if you could let us know a budget to work too then that would help, but i'll throw some idea's about anyway

shampoo - I'm a big fan of Dodo Born to be Mild, available from £8.95 for 250ml, £16.95 for 500ml, and £26.95 for a litre
mitts - Can't really beat the Dodo Tribble Mitt for price and quality at £10.95
drying towel - A couple of options here, Dodo Juice Basics at £7.95 is an ok drying cloth, Waxamomo Deep Pile Cloth is very good at £7.95, or the Dodo Juice Double Touch is the master of drying and is £15.95
polish - I'm assuming you just want to add a good bit of bling to your motor? IT's easier to recommend this with a budget in mind as this and the wax can go hand in hand, i.e Dodo Juice Lime Prime and a Dodo Wax, Auto Finesse Rejuvenate and an AF Wax etc etc
wax As above really, could do with a budget idea.
sealant - Not always needed depending on what wax you go for, or you can bypass the wax and get a good sealant. Good sealants are Jetseal 109 (can also be used to protect your alloys), or Chem Guy's Blacklight, oh and there's some great pictures on our forum of Auto Finesse Power Seal being used.
interior products - Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer is nice to use.
microfibre cloths - Depends on budget really. Poorboy's Mega Deluxe are our best selling microfibres though.
etc. - Wheel Cleaners, Alloy Wheel protection (kind od covered above), tyre dressings, foam lances......the list is endless

Hope that helps point you in the right direction, oh and as above, there is a special little discount code on our forum which was just a little thank you to forum users, but it's open to GolfGTI users too, anyone want to place an order, use the discount code - imfeelingfat - for 10% off

Thanks everyone! I've had a look on Waxamomo, & several of your recommendations looked spot on. Budget is good value, mid-range to be honest. As you say, everyone has their favs & the choice is huge, so thanks for the pointers in the right direction! Once I've got going on a decent detail I'll stick some photos up.

On a budget the Meguires stuff isn't too bad and Halfords frequently do a 3 for 2 on all cleaning products. I started off with the 3 stage megs stuff and gradually built up to Dodo juice products amongst others.

I love the pb Black hole glaze but always coat it with dodo juice orange crush. One it goes with my colour and two it smells awesome.
