hi, not really a gti, but thinking of buying one...what they like? any known issues? gearbox, transmission etc?
Are they the mega high road tax bracket?
What mileage are they good for? and what average mpg would you expect to see?

Road tax on mine is £240 a year they are 204bhp standard you will get about 20 to 22 miles in town and from 26 to 32 on a run all depends how you drive mate not any major issues that I know of make sure the haldex has been serviced properly.... Very underrated cars and a lot of car for your money the 4x4 system is great in bad weather

an mine had near 190k on it when i sold it :smiley:

Brill cars loads of fun. How a mk4 should be. Just got one recently myself and love it.if you dont mind the mid 20's mpg then defo get one :smiley:
