Title: does halfords synthetic for a tenner ok for the mk3?

just wondering as it is 5w30.

looks like a good deal but ok to use on the golf?

Its made by Comma and to be honest I have never rated their products, decent oil keeps an engine happy. Some things in life are not worth cutting corners on when it comes to oil its always the best the pocket can handle.

usually i use castrol semi synthetic either gtx or magnatec. i thought that maybe the worst fully synthetic would be better than the best semi synthetic.

i used to use straight 30 in my 1978 chevy impala as it needed it. worked like a charm but i will never use 30 in my golf:) unless all the seals go:)
