Title: Misfire!!
Post by: markallen on 29 December 2012, 18:58
Soo this long battle that has now cost me over £200 so far is still there! I first changed the plugs, had the coil pack done on recall, bought a new camshaft position sensor and today a new MAF from VW. So when I start the car it mainly idles way below normal and judders then when the fan kicks in it sits at the normal rpm. Sometimes it's above 1000 rpm and does the same thing when the fan kicks in. What I am asking is does the fault code need clearing for the new sensors or does anyone know if there is another fault? The car drives fine but when I pull up to lights etc it judders again? There is a misfire in cylinder 2. Any info would be great :)

Have you cleaned the TB?

Mine had a random idle/ tick over before cleaning it out, wouldn't explain the miss fire though.

Plug as in spark? If so I've bought all new plugs?
