Title: Not sure if its been asked but..

People sometimes talk about there engine I.e aum apk ect I'm prob gonna sound thick but where would I find my engine spec and do these have certain meanings ? Sorry if its a stupid question but still learning about my car as its my 1st golf I've owned

It's the one I've got mine is a w reg mk4 gti 2.0 115bhp if that helps

Cheers for that just checked my book and its says APK does the apk have a meaning or is it just the name of the engine ?

2.0   2001–2006   I4 8V   AZJ/AZH   1984 cc   85 kW (116 PS; 114 hp) @ 5400 rpm   172 N·m (127 lb·ft) @ 3200 rpm

170 N m is ~125 ft lb

Besides this, is the above accurate? It would appear there is a significant difference the rpm which they make peak torque.
