Title: uprated clutch for soon to be mapped AUM gti
Post by: davemk4 on 28 December 2012, 19:30
as above really. ive had past experience with black diamond both a stage 2 clutch and brake set ups with no issue at all and been impressed on the NA car. but on a big torque and bhp increase like on the golf what are you guys running as i cant see the stock clutch holding up to well? budge of around £300

with £300 you'll probably just be a bit shy of buying and fitting a Sachs VR6 clutch kit with an ABF single mass flywheel

My Octavia vRS mapped even with 120k on it was fine on the standard clutch, all down to how it is driven at the end of the day.

Got mine off eBay g60 flywheel and sachs vr6 clutch £190 delivered with 4yr warranty so keep eye out on auctions not buy now. Then  got it fitted  £120 so wasn't that bad all in, would have fitted it myself but no time.

Mine copes with 225bhp and 256lb/ft no problems. It's not the power you want to worry about, it's the torque
