Right just got my us center console off santa, it is comlete with all the bits i need including a red stitched anni style handbrake gater which is cool as i have an anni! Just gone to fit it and cant figure out how to remove the grip from my original anni handbrake, dont wanna damage it ....any one got any pointers? I got as far as removing the little round clip by the release button

You need to stick a long thin flat screwdriver down the underside of the handle grip plastic to depress the locating lug whilst pulling it from the metal lever. It's quite faffy but not impossible as ive chopped and changed several handbrake levers in a hydrid manor.
