The emmissions on CO2 ( supposed to be 0.3%) is reading 23.9%
the engine also idles erratically and smokes

Have you scanned it for fault codes or cleared old ones from changing parts?

My pre cat Lambda has died and the MPG has dropped by 5-10 mpg but that is a lot! If it's over furling that much you'll kill the cat and end up with bore wash! I'd get it looked at before you drive much further.

Stop using it and get it checked asap, sounds like you have a leak.

There is something seriously wrong to have a CO2 reading of 23.9%. As above you'll knacker the cat, plugs and the engine with that sort of fuel going through.

Could be the ECU has blown and it is dumping fuel into the engine.
