You should have a red and yellow wire on the loom for the stereo, I believe the red is the perm live and the yellow is ignition live. Yellow and red together can give you perm live when ignition is off, what I have found with some stereos is that the yellow and red seem to be the wrong way around. They are normally on bullet connectors so try swapping them if that makes sense..

I don to have red and yellow wits in the car loom and the cars scocket has been previously cut off
I have red and white
Blue
Ble and white
Brown and red thin
Brown thick - earth
What else am I looking for

Try search for the make and model s manual on google. Might be able to find it. Or there is car audio section?

Wiring diagram is half way down. I thought you were trying to fit a stereo with ISP blocks. Sorry. The diagram should show you the wires you need.

ok so looking at this diagram I have merged the brown and red which I believe is ign live with the red cable back of head unit
and the white and red which I believe is constant batt to the yellow cable back of head unit
it will not come on with the ignition
then I have swapped them over with the bullet connectors in the yellow and red harness in the back of the head unit
still will not work but flashes as I turn ign off?
only way I can get it o work at all is by merging them all
but its constant not run from the ign which I want

red-white is perm. 12, brown-red is ign 12...

You should not combine red-white and brown-red on car loom...
Check with a multimeter if you get voltage on brown red with ignition on, if not then you gotta work your way back to the ignition and check up to which point you've got juice....

its the only way the head unit would work
I tried al sorts of separate combos
