As I often work nights, I try to use the opportunity to take some night shots. So here's a few I took recently.

All the above were taken as RAW and converted in LR, with the exception of the first one, I prefered the B & W version to the colour ones.
This was also taken at night, but from inside on a very wet Christmas eve.

I like the second to last but the light on left is distracting. Really need to get out at night with my camera.

I know what you mean about the light, but if I cropped it more I would lose the lions at the bottom of the photo. I could mask it out, but not sure how well it would work with it being such a big area to do.
Really need to get out at night with my camera.
It helps that I work at night regularly, so that's when I tend to take night (or dawn) shots.
