Not interested in a full system as the layout of our living room is not favourable and I hate wires being all over the place
So my question is, does anyone have one and if so what brand do yo you and your thoughts :smiley:
There seems to be a large variety in price :undecided:

Looks a tidy bit of kit. Think I may pop to somwhere like Curry's and hear them in action :undecided:

I'm also looking to get one of these as I CBA having a massive system due to the same reasons as you Rhys
Telly speakers are a bit rubbish these days. I also have my telly wall mounted but at an angle so I need to mount it to the bottom of the telly

I was looking at this one although something with bluetooth or wireless would be ideal as my iPhone isnt suitable for the supplied connectors

Bose sound bar is excellent, one wire to your tv and a power lead.
Great sound and build quality, as you would expect from bose
At around £1200 though you need deep pockets :grin:

I've been looking into this. Want one with a subwoofer as well.

I'm trying to persuade my dad to buy a cheap one for his lounge as the sound on his Philips television is absolutely awful.
It's worth checking out the classifieds section on avforums.com for some second hand bargains. I managed to bag a Pioneer amp, Yamaha sub and Tannoy speakers for under £200. I bet someone will be selling a soundbar at a reasonable price :smiley:

I've been looking into this. Want one with a subwoofer as well.
We were watching dark knight rises on it and believe me there is enough bass. That's what good about Bose they deliver good sound without going the obvious route

I have a Yamaha YSP-40D of a few year old vintage...and its great.
Decodes DD/DTS 5.1 via HDMI/Optical/Coaxial and drives 2 x external Subs.
It's a cracking piece of kit...not cheap, admittedly, but worth it.

The flat panel speakers are awful, and like you, I didn't want speakers/wires everywhere in my living room.
