Hi all. Recently bought a tidy 8v Gti so thought I might join up and enjoy the vw atmosphere. My names bobby by the way and I'm at technician at vw so it all helps  :smiley:

Haha don't see many mark 3s in the work shop or mark 4s to be quite honest. All 5 and 6s usual egr dpf turbo faults servicing cambelts etc oh and the amazing rattles lol 8v looks easier to work on reliability is s bonus plus got it for right money

It amazes me that everyone on here knows which car wouldve suited your needs better than what you do??!!

Ive owned several 8v's mate. Good choice.
