Any other mk3 gti owners done this? Is it hard to do?
-
It's easy. Polybushes slide in easy.
Very good modification, front felt so much tighter.
-
Do you have to cut old ones out?
-
Depends how rusted in they are. Diamond Hell fitted mine a few years ago. I think he did cut them out yes.
-
What bushes???
There's no rubber bush left lol
-
I might do mine when they need it
-
Being only the wishbone bushes I'm thinking of doing first do you think it's simple enough to do myself?
-
Yep.
-
Do they just push fit into the wishbone?
-
Grease the up and push fit, then there's a metal sleeve that you can also push fit, but it might be a bit tight (it's supposed to tighten the bush into the seat) so it's probably going to need a few taps from a hammer.
-
Cheers bud, how much moneys in a ball joint?
-
Piece of a doodle to do. Check the rest of the bushes replace what you need to.

Don't buy injection moulded poly bushes, buy cast ones.
Moulded ones are not much better than rubber so remember to ask

Easy enough to fit!
I used a vice and a g-clamp to get them in. Bit of grease and go straight in.
Drove really nicely after that!
