Title: Hesitant running from a '52 Bora 1.8t
Post by: tallpaulr on 23 December 2012, 08:59
Hi there, its been a long while since I've posted on here but could do with a little advice. It would appear my Bora has developed something of a hiccup. When driving its started to stutter when I put my foot down then it picks up again. It started doing it between 3-4000 rpm but now it's doing it when it likes. it's becoming a pain when I'm overtaking. She's had a 57i on almost as long as I've owned her and I recently replaced the MAF sensor. (Due to my cleaning it with brake and clutch cleaner caused the ESP light to come on and stay on shutting down the traction control which I've still no idea how the two are connected so if someone could explain that as well.......)

Thanks in advance,
TP

right did you buy a genuin vw afm? as ebay ones are not good at all...av you checked the pipes under inlet or the claw pipe. as i had this prob with the afm and it was split pipes. av you scanned for faults. you may also have a coil pack going. pipes that are split will make the car judder...hope this helps
