Title: More toll roads on their way
Post by: stu646 on 22 December 2012, 08:55
So it looks very likely that we will have to start to pay to use new roads via toll roads. Not that we don't already pay enough from our road tax and tax on petrol.

A upgrade to the A14 in Cambridgeshire is going to be the first upgrade to be funded by toll roads. The Government did promise that no tolling will be on existing roads and motorways but that promise runs out in 2015 and then that decision will be looked at.

About time people in this country said enough is enough. Why should we have to pay over 60% tax on our petrol, then road tax on top and now it looks like in a few years we will have to pay road tolls on major motorways.

Because in the UK we have a "bend over and take it" attitude, this stuff always happens, like QE2 bridge was meant to become toll free once it paid itself off, but its so profitable now, and even though its still running at a profit to this day with the maintenance and emergency fees they still raisied toll to a £2.00 mark followed by a £2.50 charge which will be applied in the future.

Anyone else think the troops coming home from the middle east is really a means of getting them back and sacking them scheme to save money rather than "political pressure", course it is. But no one ever stands up as a whole and the small groups that do, do not make a difference.

Read up why there's fluoride added to our water systems. There's no actual need for it to be in there. But it's scientifically proven to make the person who ingests it, more easily persuaded. Hence why the gov't order it to be added.
I wonder why........

Really I thought it aided in fluoride deficiency and teeth, a bit like other parts of the word force iodine to be present in salt due to iodine deficiency to to a particular diet of that nation, along with a bunch of other food fortifications that exist?
