Title: sluggish on acceleration...
Post by: search on 21 December 2012, 11:05
forgive me for not searching I'm on my phone

anyways the strangest thing happend this morning I started the car fine but she had no go in her was struggling in 2nd gear and literally sounded like air was pumping out the exhaust. once the car warmed up it was fine. also after the car was parked cooled down etc it was fine on the way home to.

its only a 1.4 and I know it can be 101 things so I'd rather go through them myself than take it to a garage.

merry Christmas

same thing happened to my 1.4 couple times too. no idea what it was, but it would do it hot or cold and at the most random times. literally 2 or 3 times it happened in its 5 years of me owning it

it happened when i put my foot down and it almost seemed to confuse it and have a turbo lag like effect.

99.9% its mpi.

i kinda have my own diy intake pipe using a cold air pipe. running from bumper grill (the little one left hand side of the car)
