Post by: Biscuitsv5 on 17 December 2012, 14:02
Hi all just a quick one as to what i could achieve bhp wise if i was to remap my standard v5 150 ? ideally in new year would it be worth it ? and what else would i need to do ? cars done 130k but looked after by previous keeper and have had a tech at work go over it and said its sweet :)

Looks like it would be pretty pointless then for the money ? I'm not that bothered on getting less than 15 bhp lol

Remap on N/A cars arent pointless its more to remove any flat spots or remove/raise the limiter etc.
Imo I wouldnt honestly bother but thats me, its your car so its entirely upto you mate

Best bang for buck is a remap on a turbo'd car. Gains are alot more noticable.

Its not all about the peak numbers, there are 100s of V5 owners on the V5 forum who all all tell you a 10-15bhp gain was well worth the money..
