19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum

11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum

36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty

7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs

13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy

4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"

It's all Lamps, that fit into Luminaires :) A tube is simply a Lamp for a Fluorescent Luminaire. A luminaire, by definition, is an electrical device used to create artificial light by use of an electric lamp.

Daffodils don't produce light. Lamps do (When powered by a Luminaire) :)

A tube is simply a Lamp for a Fluorescent Luminaire.

That's right, as it's in the tube shape.

Like a bulb is in a bulb shape.

A lot, the price of LED's still makes them a difficult thing to sell!

A lamp or a bulb?

Wiki says its both but does say lamp the most

An LED lamp (or LED light bulb) is a solid-state lamp that uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs) as the source of light. LED lamps offer long service life and high energy efficiency, but initial costs are higher than those of fluorescent and incandescent lamps. Chemical decomposition of LED chips reduces luminous flux over life cycle as with conventional lamps.
