Title: cold weather MPG

I have seen a drop of around 8mpg on my Tdi due to the cold snap. Is this normal?

Not really noticed any power improvement but I have not been spanking it due to the icy roads! I know its sad but I constantly drive with the mpg display showing these days!

Ive not noticed a massive change in the mpg in my golf mainly cause its usually crap ! But my astra van (excuse me for swearing) usually does 460/480 miles per tank which lasts all week but this past week ive only just touched 400

Ive noticed a massive drop in my mpg over the last week!

But thats due to me finishing work so no more 100 mile commutes only short trips around town.

Only been getting 38mpg!! :lipsrsealed: :grin: Down from 58mpg :whistle:  :laugh:

The difference with the cold weather... Or even the fmic.... See if it can be worse than the 25mpg I was getting befor  :laugh:

I start my engine and let it run 5-10 mins first thing in the morning, and I have still dropped MPG, mind you am still getting well over 50MPG compared to the v6 which was half i cant complain.

I have a pd130 and only getting 39.7 mpg over a 452 mile tank is that normal I also have a boost leak which is like looking for a needle in a hay stack lol

I did a 120 mile trip (motorway) and managed 29.8 MPG - thought that was good compared to what I normally get  :grin:

I managed 49mpg out my 1.8t when i went for a random drive up north but what we all need is merc c220 and trailer  :grin: :grin:

looks about right though trip to Scotland for me and i got 560miles out of 3/4 of a tank  :smug: didnt know the old girl had it in her (was granny driving as it was a leasurely cruise and not a pedal mashing trip)
