Post by: antonis on 12 December 2012, 09:13
as title, does anyone know the stock gti ride height?
I believe ground clearance is 14.3cm.
How high is it measured from road surface to fender?
thanks

US MKV GTI's, post 2008.5, are 26.4 inches from the ground, through the center of the wheel, to the top of the fender arch. The lowest lowering springs (h&r supersport and eibach sportline) should drop that to 25.0 inches +/- 1/8 inch. Other type springs (h&r race or eibach proline) will be 1/2 inch higher than these and have a stiffer spring rate. I do not have pics of stock but sportlines sit good;

H&R sport-cup kit will sit a bit lower as do my new H&R SS's;
