Title: Water leak need help

Hi every one. After having loads of rain the other day I notice that my driver side footwell is soaking wet. Has any one ever had this befor I've fone a search but can't find any thing so would much like the advice thanx Ian ps it's a 2 door Gti 18t no sunroof

I remember this happened to my focus and it turned out to be my suktle pannel, might be related?

check the rubber grommet that connects your interior to your exterior (ie brake and accelerator cables, bonnet cable) door seals? window seals?

Id put money on its the seal behind the door card. Take door card off and then you got a metal sheet which covers the regulator etc. the seal has gone on that most prob and coming over the sill. Just re-seal the metal sheet to the door and put door card back on

Won't be that seal mate my doors are covered in dynamat sound proofing there's no gaps or wholes lol

Pop the bonnet and have a look around the pollen filter at the back of the engine bay. If I recall rightly, when I had that problem there was a plastic cover there that had cracked and was diverting water into the footwell.. Only a couple of quid and simple to replace if that's the problem.
