Title: Wet boot!
Post by: maxmc2 on 11 December 2012, 15:14
Hi guys

Got a wet boot, been told to check the rubbers on the light fittings.

Are there any drain holes to look out for on the boot, if so whereabouts are they?

TIA

The foam seals on the rear lights are probably past their best allowing water in.

Thats probably the issue then,  ive had aftermarket lights that haven't been supplied with them or the ones you get are poor fitting.  Rob the  ones off the old standard lights or buy new from VW.

That is his problem

The seal is stuck to your old lights no doubt.

Just buy a new pair of gaskets for the rear lights from VW they are not expensive and they go flat over time.

Its a wonder your rear lights are working if that has let so much water in!
