Title: Decent parts supplier? - need wing mirror glass
Post by: svartalf on 10 December 2012, 10:32
Hello,

many years ago I bought a replacement wing mirror glass from vagparts.com. They stocked a Mk4 Euro blind spot LH mirror glass which was spot on.

Now my missus has bashed the same wing mirror and the glass has fallen out but vagparts have sadly folded so I don't know where to get a replacement from.

I bought one for a tenner off ebay but the mirror quality is rubbish. It's better than nothing but I'd like a proper kosher replacement. I tried the stealers but they don't have a blind spot version (presumably a euro import).

So, in the absence of vagparts are there any other decent websites for this sort of stuff?

Ta...

Many thanks, that's great info - I'll get back to fleabay and have a hunt around.

Stealers quote was 41 quid by the way. Which seemed a bit steep for a bit of glass. Still, by the time I get a proper one from ebay and add on the cost of my crappy first effort it will probably be about the same.
