As above, really enjoy it. Was up Cairngorm today for first time this year. Looks like a good season hopefully! Been alps once too on a lads holiday with a differance haha...
Anyone else enjoy launching themselves down a hill with their feet strapped to a board haha?

lucky you. nearest place to me sunderland. crappy dry ski slope and isnt very big. 2nd neerest place xscape leeds but bout a hour or so drive so still pretty far to go for a hour or twos boarding (would be on own too cause non of mates board or ski so used to go with sister but shes not got time now with her being a new mum ect.)

what's dry sloping like compared to real snow then? you should get her to bring the kid, get the practise in at an early age! :)

Xscape is my closest as well, heading there after new years with a few mates for a session I think

dont think a 4 week old baby would be able to board or ski
nah with hwr being pregnant she couldnt really ski for pretty much whole of this year and shes just bough her 2nd house last year so the previous year she spent doing the house out nd sorting every thing so she hasent really had time
however one of my mates was on about skiing the other week so might try presuade him to get into it.
And yeah dry slope sucks compared to real snow. lot more painfull. specially if you catch your finger in one of the gaps.
also. dont know if you guts know of them or what there like. but breakoutski.com they seem to have some good deals on some times just incase anyone was thinking of booking a holiday at some point.

Off the piste are usually pretty good as well:

the old mesh style dry slopes has generally been replaced with matting now so there are no gaps to get your thumbs or tips caught in
i board... first tried it in 92... i prefer relaxed freeriding though
tell me what cairngorm is like please? never been there and am thinking of going, although have been all over europe and north america

Rubbish compared to France etc... But its good for a British slope. Has the Finicular railway, which is basicly a train. Slow but interesting... The rest is pulmas. Id probably say you best up here. You have the lecht very close too, and Glenshee also. Never been Glenshee, but been told its more suited around skiers
