Title: Sticking 15"s on my turbo will it be ok
Post by: balderz on 06 December 2012, 23:33
With the snow now here my car is slipping with my 18's on and I live in the sticks so don't see snow ploughs that offen unless is farmer Tom lol

My mate has a set of 15's I can have and stick some snow tyres on

So my question is will my speedo be ok etc as stand are 16's on the 1.8t

Cheers

Not all mk4 s have 16s standard. my old one camr with 15s.

i im using the 15s as winter wheels. aslong as you get the tyre size right will be ok. think mine are 195/65/15 off top of my head but cant remember exact.

Depends on the brakes you have fitted, I don't know if the 288mm will go under 15's the 312mm definately will not. Then as said above you just need to make sure that you have the right tyre size on to keep the radius within a couple of %.

15"s will fit over 288mm brakes all ok, if you have 312mm's fitted you will need 16"s
