Title: I'd like to tell you how fast I was going.....

but unfortunately our speedometer has melted

Actually it hasn't, but I can't see how fast I'm going in the dark. My instrument panel light have stopped working. The front lights work fine but the light dimmer doesn't. Has anyone had any experience of this before, and do I just need to get a new light switch/rheostat to get it working again.

check your fuses dude and your switch!

Nothing to do with the fuses, they're all fine. I think the switch is dodgy. Maybe I'll buy another and try it out.

take the switch out and when you turn the dimmer you will see a metal bit rubbing a resistor. the metal bit usually wears a bit so bend it in and it should work.
