Am I using the wrong relay should I have a 377 as I've got a 603 (rear wiper) the bottom pic is from my haynes manual

Right I've managed to look into it for you, its nothing much to worry about, 377 has a part number of 4B0 955 531 A. VW have since released 2 revisions of this relay, so the list is as follows...

4B0 955 531 A - No 377
4B0 955 531 E - No 603
4B0 955 531 C - No 389

To be honest I'm not sure but I think so because when I 1st when to look there were 2 screws missing for the panel

Yeah my 603 code ends in a letter E

Its all good then mate if its working then I wouldn't worry about it, a lot of cars I'd guess are still running version 'A' if it packed up you'd obviously look for latest version 4B0 955 531 C, its most likely a revision in circuit design/current handling at a guess.

Cheers for the info just thought I'd check it as thought it may be a fault with my rear wiper not working just trying to rule things out to get to the problem
